Hi, I’m Samantha!
I’m a born and raised New Hampshire native with a deep love for dogs. I share my life with my fiancé, our daughter, five dogs (yes, you read that right), two cats and too many chickens to count (seriously, have you ever heard of chicken math?). My dogs and I train and compete in various dog sports such as disc, dock diving, and the occasional Happy Ratters and Fast CAT, but our favorite sport of all is flyball with our team, Ready, Set, Ruckus!.
I’ve been competing in dog sports for almost as long as I’ve been taking photos of my dogs—about 10 years now! This extensive experience has given me not only hands-on knowledge of training but also a deep understanding of dog body language. I strongly believe that keeping sessions positive and fun is the most important part in any photography session. During our time together expect lots of breaks in between actual shooting as we aim to keep the session as stress free as possible.
I’m continuously learning new techniques and furthering my dog photography knowledge through courses offered by Unleashed Education, Hair of the Dog Academy and various podcasts and books.
Five fun facts about me:
