Capturing a dog as the star in a man-made environment. While this challenge was both tough and fun at the same time, it was especially rewarding for me as I’m not usually one for city settings. This challenge focused on capturing your subject from a high angle, perfectly reflecting the way we often view our dogs. Today marks the conclusion of the fourth challenge Today marks the conclusion of the fourth challenge in @unleashed.ed’s Embark course. The challenge, Dogscapes, focused on integrating landscapes into our images while keeping the dog as the central subject. This location was ideal for a panoramic shot, allowing me to capture the grassy hills stretching down to the sandy beach and ocean. #unleashedchallenges #unleashededucation #embarkchallenge
Yesterday was the deadline for the third Embark ch Yesterday was the deadline for the third Embark challenge done through @unleashed.ed. This challenge, Composition 101, was focused on you guessed it, composition! The goal was to produce an image that felt balanced while using the compositional rule of centering. Again, yet another challenge that was simple which made it difficult. 🤪 This week, however, we had a multi day heat wave which was too dangerous to photograph dogs in so I decided to wait it out. 🥵 What came after was dark and gloomy days with intermittent rain, so we had to fall on the moody side of editing for this challenge. #unleashedchallenges #unleashededucation #embarkchallenge
The second challenge in @unleashed.ed‘s Embark c The second challenge in @unleashed.ed‘s Embark course was all about getting down low, low, low! The simplicity of this challenge really got to me - how could something so simple be so difficult?! I shot this challenge six times and went with an image I captured during my first outing. I thoroughly enjoy the foreground blur and that thin slice of focus on the bridge. But my favorite thing of all about this image is the subtle head tilt of my border collie Widget. #unleashedchallenges #unleashededucation #embarkchallenge #bordercollie
